Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers from someone who has run clinics, not a call centre.

Can I get approved with bad credit?

Yes. We specialize in subprime and hard-to-place deals. Our funding partner uses story-based underwriting: your revenue plan, business trajectory, and the full context matter, not just the credit score. Challenged credit doesn't disqualify you; it's why we exist.

I'm not a doctor, can I still finance?

Yes. Non-physician-owned clinics are our specialty. Most lenders decline on ownership structure alone, we don't. If you're a non-doctor-owned clinic or a nurse practitioner-led practice, you're exactly who we work with.

Do you finance used lasers?

Yes, including auction purchases and private sales, subject to condition documentation. We'll need details like year of manufacture, approximate hours or pulse count, warranty status, OEM support availability, and Health Canada clearance status. The more documentation you have, the smoother the process.

How fast?

Typically 24 hours to one week for a decision, depending on file complexity. Straightforward deals with clean documentation move fastest. More complex files (used equipment, challenged credit, startups) may take the full week.

What do you need from me?

Standard documentation includes: government-issued ID, void cheque, incorporation or business registration documents, 3–6 months of bank statements, and the device quote or specifications. For used equipment, add condition documentation (year, hours, warranty status). We'll give you a specific checklist after reviewing your intake.

Lease vs. loan: what's the difference?

A loan is a financing arrangement where you own the equipment and make payments against the principal plus interest. A lease is a rental arrangement where the leasing company owns the equipment and you make monthly payments to use it, with options to purchase at the end ($1 buyout, fair market value, or 10% buyout). Leases can be structured as off-balance-sheet expenses, which matters if you have bank covenants. Lease payments are typically deductible as operating expenses. Consult your accountant for your specific situation.

What does Aesthetic Capital charge me?

Nothing: there are no fees for our services. We're compensated by our funding partner, LeaseVantage, on funded transactions, not by you. Note that your lease may include a standard lender application and documentation fee, which is disclosed upfront in your documents. None of that fee goes to Aesthetic Capital.

Is Aesthetic Capital a lender?

No. Aesthetic Capital is a specialist referral and marketing service. All financing is provided by LeaseVantage and is subject to credit approval. Aesthetic Capital is not a lender, bank, or licensed financial advisor, and does not hold, manage, or invest funds.

Do you serve all of Canada?

Yes. We're Alberta-based and serve clinics across all provinces and territories. Our primary focus is Alberta first, then Canada-wide.
